6 SportsEngine alternatives to compare before your club moves
Before your club moves, list what must keep working. Families may still owe payments. Staff may need old waivers or receipts. A former volunteer may be the only person who can access your website account. Sort out these jobs before you set a switch date.
We read the providers’ own guides on September 11, 2026. We did not test the products or move a real club. Secondslide publishes this guide. The six choices are in name order, without scores or a claimed winner.
Use the free move worksheet to compare files, fees and a fake family record. No signup is needed.
Three reasons to wait for a safer switch date
Open payments: decide who will collect current installments and handle refunds. Do not assume saved payment details or balances will transfer.
Old records: ask what you must retain and how staff will reach it after your plan ends. A downloaded report may cover only selected fields.
Account ownership: confirm the adults who control the bank connection, website domain and admin access. Give the new volunteer a clear handoff.
Waiting can be the right choice even if another product suits next season better. Choose a date based on those tasks, not just a sales deadline.
1. Crossbar
Crossbar is worth a look when a league needs team registration with player payments. Its Hybrid League Registration guide describes a Team + Players flow. A captain or coach registers the team, then invites players to register and pay their parts. The setup controls rosters and split payments.
Ask for a written quote for your exact league setup. Do not treat a comparison page’s rates as your contract.
Import question: can the new system take in a team’s old balance and each player’s share, or must staff add them? Have the vendor show a fake example. The documented signup flow does not prove old payments transfer.
2. Jersey Watch
Jersey Watch may fit an organization that wants its website and registration in one place. Its program form guide covers custom questions, installments, file uploads and waivers. Its export guide describes selected columns and bulk downloads of uploaded files.
The pricing page lists a $19 launch month, then $348 per year. It lists payment processing at 3.5% plus $1 per transaction, which the organization may absorb or pass on. Recheck the quote before buying.
Import question: which family and payment fields can staff bring in from SportsEngine? Website-content help is not the same as moving linked guardians, balances or consent records.
3. LeagueApps
LeagueApps is an option for organizations that need program registration and varied payment plans. Its payment-plan guide describes first-payment choices, required autopay settings and private plans. A setting that requests autopay does not guarantee every payment will clear.
Its pricing model includes a transaction percentage and a one-time setup fee. Optional services may have annual charges. Get those amounts together in one quote.
Import question: how will you add the amount still owed without charging it twice? Ask who owns each old plan during the overlap.
4. PlayMetrics
PlayMetrics lists registration, payments, tryouts, team formation and club operations. It may suit a club that wants to examine those jobs together rather than shop for a registration form alone.
Its pricing page calls for a quote based on the organization’s needs. Ask which website, payment and support costs the quote includes.
Import question: will a fake player join the right team and stay linked to both guardians? Ask to see what the import does and which steps an adult must finish.
5. TeamLinkt
TeamLinkt’s Core plan lists registration, rosters, scheduling, a website and reporting without a subscription charge. Payment charges still apply. Rates depend on factors such as size and volume, and advanced add-ons can have annual charges.
It may be useful to compare when your club wants those core jobs in one plan. Price the actual payments and extras before calling it the lower-cost choice.
Import question: which old files and family links come across, and what stays in SportsEngine? Ask for an import field list, not only a promise to help.
6. TeamSnap for clubs and leagues
Compare the club and league product, which uses custom pricing. A free single-team plan is not a quote for organization-wide registration and payment work.
One documented admin registration flow has deposit choices and multiple payment plans. Ask which product version you would receive and have staff show that exact version.
Import question: how will the new account show past payments and the amount still owed? Confirm what families and staff can see, and which record remains only in SportsEngine.
Ask for the exact SportsEngine reports
Ask your current support contact about the Payments Report and Customizable Smart Group Report for your account. Confirm your access, date filters and columns before exporting. Their official search descriptions identify report exports; we could not reliably open the full help pages during this review.
Treat those reports as starting points for a field list. Do not assume there is a single download that moves the whole account, payment tokens, waivers and family relationships.
Where Secondslide fits
Secondslide publishes this guide and isn’t one of the six options above. If you’re moving off SportsEngine, we’re one more option to test the same way. Registration, payments and payment plans run on one connected platform with scheduling, communications, team chat and a parent mobile app. The same partner outfits your teams and runs your team store. Our team can also set up donation fundraising, sponsorships and a program website. Bring the same field list and report questions to a conversation with Secondslide.
Free SportsEngine move worksheet
Use this before a vendor call, then fill in results from a fake-data demo. Both systems should use the same date cutoff when staff compare records and money reports.

3. Compare one full season of software costs
Season dates: ____________________
Paid registration amount used to model percentage fees $______
Number of charged transactions, including installments ______
Compare the same volume and payment methods. Leave the registration money itself out of software costs. Count each fee once under the person who pays it.
Repeat this line for each system, plan and payment method. Count each installment as one transaction. Use separate lines when rates differ.
Stay / move system and exact plan: ____________________
Payment method: ____________________
Affected payment amount $______ and transaction count ______
Quoted percentage rate ______% and flat fee per transaction $______
Percentage fee = affected amount $______ × rate ______ ÷ 100 = $______
Flat fee total = transaction count ______ × fee $______ = $______
Who pays each fee: club / family / split as quoted: ____________________
Any fee cap, minimum or split confirmed by vendor: ____________________
Add this line’s fees to the correct system and payer columns below. Apply the quoted cap or minimum first. Do not add the rates as extra costs.
