6 sports website builders to compare by the jobs your club needs

A field closes after rain. Who changes the address on your site, and will families see the new place on their schedule too? Start with jobs like this before choosing a design. The site also needs a clear owner when volunteers change next season.

Secondslide publishes this guide and is one of the six options. We checked the linked sources on September 11, 2026, and viewed two public club sites on desktop and mobile. We did not use an admin account, submit a signup form or place an order. The options are alphabetical, not ranked.

Use the free website requirements sheet to compare two plans without signing up.

A store button may open a separate shop. It does not tell you whether orders, products or player records move between the shop and site. A calendar may show dates without building a league schedule or standings.

Ask each vendor to show four jobs: change a schedule, open signup, reach the store and edit a page. Note what you can do in the site and what needs another tool.

1. Jersey Watch

Jersey Watch lists pages, photos, files and schedules, plus signup, payments and messages. This may suit a club that wants those jobs in one sports service. Ask which plan and setup the quote covers. Jersey Watch

Have the vendor change a schedule and show the signup page families use. Then trace the store link. Does it just open a shop, or do any records move too? A store menu alone cannot tell you.

Ask a second adult to edit a page in a demo. Check who can change text, photos and menus, and how the next volunteer gets access. We did not test those editing jobs.

2. Secondslide

Our team can set up a team or program website as part of a connected Secondslide platform. Registration, payments and payment plans, scheduling, communications, team chat and a parent mobile app run on that platform, and we outfit teams and run team stores. Our team can also set up donation fundraising and sponsorships. Ask us to show which of those your site links to and what updates on its own.

Ask the team to show your public site and who can edit it. Have them change a schedule, open the signup link and trace the store order route. Write down any steps staff must do in another tool.

Apply the same test here as for the other options. We publish this guide, and we did not test a website admin account for it. Ask us to show the admin view your staff would use.

3. Sports Connect

Sports Connect lists page editing, images, sponsor areas, calendars, galleries and files. It also lists league signup, payments and rosters. Confirm the exact product and package in the quote. Ask about any product move tied to the PlayMetrics name shown on its site. Sports Connect websites

Have the vendor show a schedule change on the public page and open signup. Ask who hosts the store, who changes its link and whether records pass between the tools.

The page describes drag-and-drop editing. We did not test it with a new volunteer. Let a second adult try one page change before you choose.

4. Squarespace

Squarespace’s calendar guide covers events with start and end times, places and notes. Page setup differs between versions 7.1 and 7.0. This can help a club post dates. It does not prove that the site can build league schedules or standings. Squarespace calendar pages

Ask how signup and the store will work with your site plan. You may need links or other tools. We did not verify a built-in sports signup or roster flow, so price the whole setup.

Try editing in the version you will use. Ask the editor to add a weather notice. The calendar section has layout limits; check where extra text can go.

5. TeamLinkt

TeamLinkt lists six site templates, custom web addresses and pages for signup, teams, events and news. Its public examples show sports sites. A free builder does not mean all services or payment fees are free. TeamLinkt website builder

Ask which schedule and signup records feed the site. Follow the links as a family would, and check who can fix an error. Ask about store support too. A missing store menu on one club’s site does not prove the feature is unavailable.

Have two adults try editing a page and passing access to the next volunteer. Our public-site check did not test the editor or prove that records update on their own.

6. Wix

Wix explains how to place another site or widget inside a page. That may help a club use a separate sports service. Showing that tool in the page does not make its signup, roster or store records part of Wix. Wix also sets limits on help with outside code. Wix embedding guide

Ask the site builder to show your schedule, signup and store tools. Name the support contact for each. Check them on a phone and ask what happens if the outside service changes its link.

Find out which pages club volunteers can edit. Keep the web address and site account under club ownership, with a backup adult who can get in.

What we saw on two public club sites

These are dated observations, not ratings or admin tests. We did not test checkout, record sharing or editing speed.

On September 11, 2026, Navigators Travel Ball showed signup, a team-store menu, teams and parent/coach resources. Jersey Watch links to it as an example. Its all-schedules link led to an events page, and the mobile menu was collapsed. These choices show how the club groups its pages. They do not prove the store and signup system share records.

The Pittsburgh National Flag Football League site showed schedules, standings, scores, locations and signup links, plus recent game results. On mobile, result cards ran sideways in a carousel. Signup led to a separate TeamLinkt app address. We saw no store link in the top menu; that alone does not tell us what stores the platform supports.

Try one rainy-day change in the demo

Have an adult change a made-up field address once. Check the public event page and family schedule. Did both change, or is a second edit needed? Write down the result.

Next, have another adult find signup and the store on a phone. Follow each link and return to the team site. Do not submit a real form or order for this check.
